Finally, the one we’ve all been waiting for (?)! Today is the day we get our very first glimpse at the debut trailer for The Angry Birds Movie. Yes, it is a thing that’s happening. For the two people who have not spent countless hours flinging the titular birds across their smart phone screen whilst travelling on the bus, mindlessly whittling minutes away, or on the toilet, the story is as follows:

There are some birds, and they are angry.

We’re actually still a little light on plot details for the film (even with the trailer in the wild), with the release a fair way off (May 2016), but following in the footsteps of the game it’s likely to see those pesky green pigs stealing the Bird’s eggs, leaving our heroes more than a little miffed.

What we do know is that the film is being directed by first timers Clay Kaytis and Fergal Reilly, and stars Jason Sudeikis, Peter Dinklage, Bill Hader, Keegan-Michael Key, Josh Gad, Maya Rudolph and Danny McBride – which is quite the lineup of comedic talent!
