The first batch of images for the forthcoming X-Men: Apocalypse have been released over at Entertainment Weekly, and the famous mutant team are looking decidedly 80s. Following on from the swinging 60s of First Class and the groovy 70s of Days of Future Past, Bryan Singer wraps up the X-Men prequel trilogy with Apocalypse, set in the 80s and looking markedly more “comic book-ey” with it. Aaah the 80s, when all subtlety went of out of the window.
Included in the released images is the first look at Oscar Isaac’s Apocalypse, which one observer has a pretty fantastic take on:
Pretty accurate! But alas Bryan Singer hasn’t failed yet in the directors chair with the X-Men franchise, so there’s plenty of reasons to have faith. In Singer we trust.

“You are all my children. And you’re lost. Because you follow the wrong leader. Everything they’ve built will fall… and from the ashes of their world we’ll build a better one!” – Apocalypse
Lol! I do see that Ooze comparison, hopefully Apocalypse gets some additional work as they carry on filming but I’m liking the look of Psylocke and Storm.

Haha, Oscar Isaac is pretty great though, so I’m hopeful he’ll be cool despite being a Ooze-A-Like! Liking Jubilee too!
