The only one of the Best Picture nominees I’ve seen is The Imitation Game. I thought it was an excellent movie, and Benedict Cumberbatch gave a most Oscar-worthy performance. American Sniper opens here tomorrow, and I will definitely see that one in the next few days. I’d like to see Wild also. Saw Gone Girl…don’t think Rosamund Pike was good enough for Best Actress. That’s my two cents worth. 🙂

The Imitation Game was very good, Cumberbatch is in with a real shot I’d say, though Michael Keaton was also incredible in Birdman (I think that has a good chance of picking up a few awards). I enjoyed Gone Girl (if enjoyed is the right word, maybe endured?), but Rosamund Pike has some stiff competition there. How exciting lol!

We were devastated by Lego’s exclusion.
I’ve seen all the best pictures of course, and nearly everything that’s nominated, period. Lots of good stuff, some junk. I think American Sniper is junk. I think Selma was snubbed. It’s fabulous and deserved a lot more recognition.

It’s a bit disappointing, I really really liked Lego Movie and thought it deserved a nomination. Not seen American Sniper yet, it opens tomorrow here I believe, and Selma isn’t out until February, which is rude lol. Would have liked to have seen Ralph Fiennes nominated, but I’m rooting for Birdman which was excellent all round!

Boo for lack of diversity in the noms this year! I’m rooting for Eddie Redmayne and Citizenfour (Best Documentary Feature). Unfortunately, I keep up with the Oscars less and less every year. It just doesn’t represent me as an audience member.

There really is a lack of diversity this year which is a shame. Citizenfour looks great, it’s on my list to watch soon!
My vote is for Birdman, certainly for cinematography 🙂

As it happens, I just got Super Angry UniKitty yesterday, very befitting this snub!
