Assault On Precinct 13 (1976) Review

Legendary writer, composer and director John Carpenter’s sophomore feature Assault On Precinct 13 might show its age stylistically, but narratively it more than holds up….for the most part. Some of it is very much of its time, but when that time is the 1970s, that’s hardly a bad thing at all.

Poor old Beethoven. He deserved more than this. In the early nineties the character was a star. After two successful films back to back in 1992 and 1993, he had the world at his paws. Now look at him, a direct to DVD regular, eight entries into a franchise that would be better off being put out to pasture.
