Ghost Are Real, This Much I Know – Crimson Peak Is Coming

Full disclosure – I love…LOVE Guillermo del Toro’s films. And he is back with a bang! The trailer for del Toro’s return to gothic horror Crimson Peak has been released, and from the first glimpse, I’m happy to report that it looks beautiful (and suitably creepy). Though del Toro’s long time collaborator, cinematographer Guillermo Navarro sits this one out (*sobs*), his replacement Dan Laustsen (Silent Hill) looks to have done an excellent job in executing the dark tone in combination with a rich colour palette which del Toro’s films so often display.

Official Synopsis:

When her heart is stolen by a seductive stranger, a young woman is swept away to a house atop a mountain of blood-red clay: a place filled with secrets that will haunt her forever. Between desire and darkness, between mystery and madness, lies the truth behind Crimson Peak.

From the imagination of director Guillermo del Toro comes a supernatural mystery starring Tom Hiddleston, Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska and Charlie Hunnam.

I literally couldn’t be more excited for this film. Sadly, we’re all going to have to wait until October 16th, which isn’t that far away right…right?!
