Looking back on and paying tribute to just a handful of the finest filmmaking talent to have passed away in 2014.
Robin Williams:
“You’re only given one little spark of madness. You mustn’t lose it.”
Philip Seymour Hoffman:
“Success isn’t what makes you happy. It really isn’t. Success is doing what makes you happy and doing good work and hopefully having a fruitful life. If I’ve felt like I’ve done good work, that makes me happy. The success part of it is all gravy.”
Richard Attenborough:
“And I believe we need heroes, I believe we need certain people who we can measure our own shortcomings by.”
In response to the Daily Post Challenge – Gone, But Not Forgotten.
Seeing Attenborough makes me think about James Garner since they were both in “The Great Escape” together.
